Prognosis:
In average attacks, symptoms last 4-8 weeks (but can last as little as 3 weeks or as long as 12) to completely clear up.
Treatment:
If the case is mild, treatment is not needed. However, in any case, gentle bathing,
mild lubricants, creams or mild hydrocortisone creams can soothe the irritation.
Antihistamines can be taken by mouth to reduce itching as well.
Moderate sun exposure or UV light treatment may help rashes to clear up quicker.
*Be careful of sunburn*
